How to format a Nutrition Facts panel from reviewed values
Separate nutrition calculation from panel layout. Start with a signed-off value sheet, preserve its wording and units, then treat the exported panel as a proof that still needs qualified review.
1. Freeze the reviewed source values
Collect the serving statement, calories, nutrient amounts, percent Daily Values, ingredients and allergen statement in one approved source. Do not use the layout step to recalculate or infer missing values.
2. Enter values without changing meaning
Preserve units, qualifiers and the exact ingredient order. Keep source notes beside the project so a reviewer can trace every rendered line back to the approved data.
3. Inspect hierarchy and overflow
Review the serving block, calories emphasis, nutrient rules and statement area at the intended physical size. Resolve clipped or crowded copy without silently shortening regulated wording.
4. Export a proof, not a certificate
Send the physical-size PDF, evidence file and review notes to the qualified reviewer and printer. Approval remains a human and jurisdiction-specific decision.
